- Minimum 7 years of verifiable clinical embryology practice in licensed ART laboratories, with at least 3 years in a senior, lead, or laboratory management role
- Demonstrated mastery of the full spectrum of ART laboratory procedures including advanced ICSI techniques, laser-assisted hatching, embryo biopsy for PGT, blastocyst culture, and complex cryopreservation protocols
- Documented experience in ART laboratory leadership and management, including staff supervision and training, laboratory workflow design, equipment procurement and validation, and the implementation of quality management systems
- Evidence of responsibility for laboratory quality assurance and accreditation, including the design and oversight of internal quality control programmes, external quality assurance participation, KPI monitoring, and preparation for regulatory inspection or laboratory accreditation (e.g. ISO 15189, JACIE, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced embryo assessment methodologies, including time-lapse morphokinetics, artificial intelligence-assisted embryo selection tools, and the integration of PGT-A/M/SR results into clinical decision-making
- Evidence of contribution to the advancement of clinical embryology through research, publication in peer-reviewed journals, presentation at international conferences, development of laboratory protocols, or participation in multi-centre clinical trials
- Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring junior embryologists, including the design and delivery of competency-based training programmes and the assessment of trainee performance
- Active engagement in advanced continuing professional development, including senior-level conference participation (ESHRE, ASRM, BFS, or equivalent), advanced masterclasses, editorial or peer-review contributions, or membership of professional embryology societies
- Professional references from at least two recognised senior specialists — including laboratory directors, reproductive medicine consultants, or internationally respected embryologists — attesting to mastery-level technical competence, leadership, and professional distinction
- Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards in clinical embryology, including governance of embryo storage and disposition, donor gamete programme oversight, patient data protection, and adherence to the welfare of the child principle
- Full compliance with applicable national and international regulatory frameworks governing ART laboratories, and demonstrated leadership in ensuring the laboratory's ongoing regulatory compliance and readiness
Who Is This For?
Highly experienced senior clinical embryologists and ART laboratory directors with a distinguished record of practice, leadership, and contribution to reproductive science — including lead embryologists, laboratory directors, heads of ART units, and senior reproductive scientists in IVF clinics, fertility centres, academic medical centres, and research institutions who seek the highest level of formal international recognition for their mastery of clinical embryology and their contribution to the field.
