About ECPA

A European Institution Built on Scholarly Rigour and Integrity

Since 2020, the European Council for Professional Accreditation has stood as the continent's most respected authority for recognising excellence across education, healthcare, and professional practice.

Purpose

Our Mission

The European Council for Professional Accreditation (ECPA) exists to uphold and advance the standards of professional excellence across Europe and the wider world. We believe that accreditation is not a bureaucratic exercise — it is a covenant between an institution and the public it serves.

Our mission is to provide a rigorous, impartial, and internationally respected framework for evaluating organisations and individuals against the highest benchmarks of professional conduct, educational quality, and clinical governance.

We are guided by the conviction that genuine excellence must be earned, verified, and continuously renewed — and that those who achieve it deserve to be recognised with a credential that carries real weight in the global professional community.

Rigour

Every assessment is conducted with scholarly thoroughness and intellectual honesty.

Integrity

Our independence from commercial interests ensures impartial, trustworthy evaluations.

Excellence

We hold ourselves and our accredited partners to the highest standards of professional practice.

Transparency

Our criteria, processes, and decisions are clear, consistent, and openly communicated.

Since 2020

Our History

ECPA was established in 2020 by a distinguished group of European academics, clinicians, and professional educators who recognised a critical gap: the absence of a truly pan-European accreditation body capable of evaluating the full spectrum of professional education and practice.

Over the intervening years, ECPA has grown from a small collegial body into an internationally recognised authority, with accredited entities spanning 47 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

Today, ECPA is registered and administered from its office at the Business Center, SPC Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates — a strategic location that reflects our commitment to serving a truly global professional community while maintaining our European identity and values.
